JD Moore Joinery is a family run business which has traded and serviced the joinery needs of the West Cumbria for more than 50 years,
We pride ourselves delivering excellent levels of craftsmanship and service. As well as general joinery and carpentry work in both residential and business premises, we manufacture bespoke items such as sliding sash windows and staircases, tailored to individual needs of our customers.
A relatively recent addition to our business, is the Joinery Store in Gosforth. We offer a wide selection of joinery and carpentry materials, timber, paint, hardware and ironmongery. We offer free local delivery and our prices are significantly lower than High Street chains that operate in the main towns within West Cumbria.
The majority of our business comes from local knowledge and word of mouth, which we believe is a testament to the quality of the service and workmanship. We are always happy to take on new customers and have many satisfied customers who will be delighted to act as a reference

We pride ourselves in our personal approach. Starting from your initial enquiry, we will come and visit you and discuss your requirements. The primary purpose is to gather all the information necessary to produce a price for the work, but also for you to meet us and ask us questions about our approach, our experience and other jobs we have done that are similar.
We will send the price to you as quickly as possible for consideration and, if necessary, further discussion. It is at this stage that we like to remain flexible and explore different ways to achieve what you require.
Although the vast majority of our work is undertaken within a 25 mile radius of Gosforth. We are happy to discuss different locations depending on the nature of the work you require.
